My fiance' experienced the same thing with a guy named Giacomo De Pretis. He waved him down in the Rona parking lot in Crowfoot.

Told him he was heading to the airport and needed directions. For being to help him, he would give him a deal on a few "lambskin" jackets he had in the car yet. My fiance' gave him $300 for 6 jackets. THey were wrapped in plastic and are well made.

Thankfully 4 of them fit and we can probably gift the rest but they are definitely PLASTIC and not leather. Bummer.

There are scammers everywhere ... and probably more during the Stampede.

We also bought 5 jackets for under $250.00 from someone in a parking lot at Costco in Calgary. They do smell like plastic so we also think this is a BIG Scam. Beware everyone!
